Routertech - Very good firmware for ADSL modems
Routertech - firmware from your modem to squeeze the largest reserves and the possibility of which you did not know, but mainly it is stable. All this is hidden under the banner Routertech.org. Firmware are designed for modems based on Texas Instrument chipset (TI) AR7WRD. The modems, which are found in the Czech Republic supported Castlenet ASW800, WELL PTI 845, D-Link 664T D- Link 684T.

D-Link 684T ADSL router
Uploading is done as any other update. Download the firmware from the site routertech.org - Registration is required to view download link. Choose carefully the exact version according to the bootloader and type of chipset. Before upgrading, read the FAQ - it will save you plenty of time "unbrickem" after unsuccessful flashnutí device firmware.
First run
Do not want to if you upgrade immediately for real, try the virtual modem menu on the home pages of the project. If you have already done so, you know that the modem is moved from the address 10.0.0.138 192.168.1.1, and therefore it should be reconfigured, for now, or if you have a home network is configured to have 192.xxx
There is no synchronization! Off ADSL
The modem is configured for standard operation at Annex A, the Czech Republic is used Annex B. It is therefore necessary modem / router to switch to this mode. You can Telnet, SSH, Web interface menu Run command. and this command
dsp_ver setenv setenv dsp73B & & & & atm_ver dsp73B reboot.sh
Can not connect!
Perhaps you've downloaded the latest firmware version, which I could not break in the service lines or more in more places. It is specifically the Dlink 684T modem, Castlenet works well with poslednám FW (2.8) because if it can not connect with the 684T, try firmware 2.6 problem with that is not connected via PPP. Firmware can be found at http://uloz.to/962714/rt-2.6.7z , this is the version routertech_ar7wrd_adam2_firmware, which is the wireless modem, 4 port Ethernet bootloadrem ADAM2.
Summary
Pros
Stable firmware - there where the original firmware from D-Link and O2 could not keep the PPP connection or two days, now holds Routertech 8 days in a row, and still running! Obviously does not only depend on the firmware, but also the quality of lines, metallic wires.
More Settings - Advanced "Wireless Settings, QoS-oriented socket, the integrated statistics Darkstat
Cons
It is not for everyone - wants a little something to read (at least the FAQ), but the headlong rush to the right flash.
Absence of storage configuration to a file - Unfortunately I can not save the current modem settings to a binary-text file.
